This trekking experience takes you off the beaten path, connecting with Sri Lanka’s natural beauty, rich traditions, and vibrant communities. The tour can also be done in reverse, starting from Ella and ending in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 01 – Pekoe Trail Stages 10 & 11 (Partial) | Horton Plains to Ohiya

• Transfer from Nuwara Eliya to Horton Plains National Park (1 hour).

• Trek through high-altitude plains, cloud forests, and rolling grasslands, descending approximately 300 meters.

• Enjoy a picnic lunch along the trail.

• Overnight: Small mountain lodge in Ohiya.

Day 02 – Pekoe Trail Stage 12 | Ohiya to Haputale

• Trek from Ohiya to Haputale (elevation gain 400 m, descent 600 m).

• Journey through tea plantations, mist-covered valleys, forests, and railway tunnels.

• Picnic lunch served en route.

• Overnight: Guesthouse in Haputale.

Day 03 – Pekoe Trail Stage 13 | Haputale to St. Catherine Estate

• Trek through lush tea estates and remote villages, with an elevation gain of 300 m and descent of 500 m.

• Learn about local tea pluckers’ lifestyle.

• Transfer to Bandarawela for overnight stay at a homestay.

• Participate in a traditional Sri Lankan cooking experience for dinner.

Day 04 – Pekoe Trail Stage 15 | Makulella to Ella via Ella Rock

• Trek through scenic tea country, forests, and quaint villages.

• Elevation gain of 250 m and descent of 450 m.

• Trek concludes in Ella, marking the end of the adventure.

Optional Extra Night Add-on – Single Tree Hill Trek

• Extend the tour with a 1-night add-on in Nuwara Eliya.

• Trek up Single Tree Hill (elevation gain 200–300 m), enjoying breathtaking views of Lake Gregory and surrounding tea plantations.

• Explore local tea plantations and villages.

• Scenic train ride from Nanuoya to Ohiya, followed by a tuk-tuk ride to lodge.
