This 13-night photography tour is ideal for wildlife and bird photographers seeking the ultimate Sri Lanka adventure. Capture the Big 4 of Sri Lanka wildlife—leopard, elephant, blue whale, and sloth bear—along with endemic and migratory birds in diverse habitats across the island.

Day 01 – Arrival & Transfer to Wilpattu

• Arrival at Colombo International Airport; meet with our representative.

• Transfer to Wilpattu National Park (4–5 hours).

• Welcome dinner and overnight: Wilpattu Safari Camp.

Day 02 – Full-Day Safari in Wilpattu National Park

• Full-day safari (6 AM – 6 PM) with picnic meals.

• Photograph leopards, sloth bears, elephants, spotted and barking deer, sambur, wild boar, and crocodiles.

• Birdwatching includes jungle fowl, painted stork, owl, terns, gulls, eagles, and herons.

• Overnight: Wilpattu Safari Camp.

Day 03 – Second Full-Day Safari in Wilpattu

• Continue exploring Wilpattu’s diverse habitats.

• Capture butterflies, reptiles (python, cobra, mugger crocodile), and birds not seen on day one.

• Picnic meals provided.

• Overnight: Wilpattu Safari Camp.

Day 04 – Morning Bird Safari & Transfer to Polonnaruwa

• Morning bird-focused safari (6 AM – 10 AM) for species like brown fish owl, stork-billed kingfisher, hawk eagle, and jungle fowl.

• Transfer to Polonnaruwa (3 hours).

• Night walk at Polonnaruwa Monkey Camp to photograph slender loris.

• Overnight: Monkey Camp, Polonnaruwa (wildlife research center; clean and decent facilities).

Day 05 – Primate Photography & Boat Ride

• Early morning walking tour (5:30 AM) to photograph torque macaque, grey langur, and purple-faced langur in ancient ruins.

• Evening catamaran boat ride on Parakrama Samudra Lake to photograph birds and sunset scenes.

• Overnight: Monkey Camp, Polonnaruwa.

Day 06 – Minneriya Safari

• Morning at leisure.

• Transfer to Habarana (1 hour).

• Afternoon safari in Minneriya National Park (3–6 PM) to photograph elephants at waterholes, especially during July–August migration.

• Overnight: Cinnamon Lodge, Habarana.

Day 07 – Transfer to Nuwara Eliya

• Breakfast at the hotel.

• Transfer to Nuwara Eliya (5–6 hours).

• Overnight: The Grand Hotel, Nuwara Eliya.

Day 08 – Horton Plains & Transfer to Yala

• Early morning visit to Horton Plains National Park with picnic breakfast. Capture sambar deer, cloud forests, and Baker’s Falls.

• Transfer to Yala National Park (4 hours).

• Sun-downer at Yala Safari Camp with cocktails.

• Overnight: Yala Safari Camp.

Day 09 – Full-Day Safari in Yala

• Full-day safari (6 AM – 6 PM) to photograph leopards, elephants, bears, deer, crocodiles, and birds.

• Picnic breakfast and lunch provided.

• Overnight: Yala Safari Camp.

Day 10 – Second Full-Day Safari in Yala

• Repeat full-day safari to capture missed wildlife shots.

• Picnic breakfast and lunch provided.

• Overnight: Yala Safari Camp.

Day 11 – Bundala Safari & Transfer to Weligama

• Early morning safari in Bundala National Park (6–10 AM) for birds, elephants, and crocodiles.

• Transfer to Weligama (3 hours).

• Overnight: Weligama Bay Resort.

Day 12 – Whale Watching in Weligama

• Morning blue whale boat trip (6:30 AM – 12 PM) with picnic breakfast.

• Overnight: Weligama Bay Resort.

Day 13 – Second Whale Watching Trip & Transfer to Negombo

• Early morning whale watching (6:30 AM – 12 PM).

• Transfer to Negombo (3 hours).

• Gala dinner with live music.

Day 14 – Departure

• Breakfast at the hotel.
